Our mission is to provide funding for research devoted to finding a cure and new treatments for Hepatoblastoma and other pediatric cancers while promoting public awareness. Our ultimate goal is to build a pediatric cancer research and treatment center in the Southeastern United States.
Macy Easom, a twin, was diagnosed with Stage IV Hepatoblastoma with lung metastasis in August 2004. She underwent aggressive chemotherapy and surgical removal of the tumor. Sadly, the cancer returned weeks later to her fragile, little body. Macy passed away June 9, 2005, at the age of five.
Watch to learn about our little Princess Macy Easom, her short but impactful life, and why we started the foundation in the fight against the rare childhood cancer, Hepatoblastoma.
Every parent fears the words, "Your child has cancer". Watch to learn the obstacles of childhood cancer research, what MECRF is doing to overcome them, and how you can support the fight.
